Key performance areas A Machine Operators job purpose is to setup and operate various equipment. Perform necessary quality checks to verify blueprint compliance blueprint specifications; up to and including the use of process specific measuring devices. Additionally, the Machine Operator will:

Requirements

  • High attention to details with a strong visual perception.
  • Experienced in the use of various measuring gauges and equipment.
  • 2 years’ experience working in a mechanical or industry preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of 5S and lean manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Select appropriate jobs according to the shop floor control system or as directed by the team leader.
  • Perform setup using appropriate work instructions, blueprints, and other specifications, including the development and adjustment of simplistic CNC programs.
  • Perform adjustment to machine parameters as trained including necessary robot calibrations.
  • Verify capability of process utilizing SPC or other control methods, with process specific measuring devices
  • Verify processes meet all ocular inspection criteria.
  • Ensure process is running to defined levels of efficiency and utilization.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tooling as required, including maintaining and assessing tooling requirements.
  • Maintain the equipment and area surrounding with order and cleanliness, including completion of daily housekeeping duties.
  • Perform tasks in accordance with all safety and environmental requirements.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by manager.
