About The Position

The Machine Operator assists production through the operation, set-up, cleaning
and performance of minor maintenance on complex electrical / mechanical
production equipment.

Requirements

• Education – High school diploma, GED Certificate or equivalent work experience is preferred.
• Experience – Some previous work–related experience is desired.
• Machine operators must be able to lift, push or pull 30 pounds frequently (34% -66 % of the day). Other physical requirements include bending, twisting, walking, repetitive wrist movement and standing for full shifts.
• Working near moving mechanical parts
• Will be working in dust noise and varied temperatures (65˚- 85˚).
• This is a safety sensitive position, subject to initial and follows –up drug testing.
• Bakery Candy Kitchen Food Safety, Dress Code and Sanitation requirements must be followed.
• Must be flexible to schedule changes.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery to produce quality products within established time standards.
• Operating and making small adjustments to our twist wrap machine that wraps truffles and mini mints.
• Perform pre and post-operational inspections of equipment to assure safe and proper operation.
• Set up or adjust production machine(s) as required by the department to support the manufacturing effort.
• Clean equipment and surrounding work area when finished or as needed.
• Assist and communicate with the Supervisor regarding unsafe or unusual equipment issue or conditions, damaged or unusual condition of material and ingredients, problem prevention, identification correction and any product quality issues.
• Works with or supports a team environment in manufacturing.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
