We’re seeking talented and skilled Operators to join our York, South Carolina, manufacturing facility, which employs approximately 400 staff members. In this role, you’ll operate mechanical equipment and ensure production meets the highest quality standards. Shift Available: 2nd Shift – 3 pm-11 pm Monday-Friday, every other Saturday 11 am-5 pm 3rd Shift – 11 pm-7 am Sunday-Thursday, every other Friday 11 pm-5 am Hourly Rate – Starting at rates of $18.39-$19.29, plus quarterly incentives.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment (working with heavy machinery, manufacturing products, hand tools)
  • intermediate technical understanding of machinery
  • Problem-solving and safety awareness
  • Keen attention to detail to identify maintenance, product, or operations issues

Nice To Haves

  • Able to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and machine specifications, a plus

Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot production machinery and equipment.
  • Set up machines for various product runs, including calibration, adjustment, and minor mechanical changes.
  • Inspect raw materials and finished goods to ensure they meet quality standards and product specifications.
  • Perform in-process quality checks, including measurements, visual inspections, and product testing.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including quantities produced, downtime, and equipment issues.
  • Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparing products for shipment as needed.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for product handling, assembly, or fabrication.
  • Support product changeovers to minimize downtime and ensure smooth transitions between manufacturing runs.
  • Identify and report issues related to materials, product defects, or equipment performance.
  • Work closely with product engineers, supervisors, and quality teams to resolve production challenges.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and part replacement.
