About The Position

The Machine Operator in the Sand Mold department is responsible for operating a variety of molding machines to produce high-quality castings that meet customer specifications. This role ensures that all sand molds are manufactured in compliance with established quality standards and product requirements.

Requirements

Minimum: High School diploma or G.E.D. certificate; basic mathematical and computer skills

1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate various molding machines, ranging from automatic systems to manual cope-and-drag machines, ensuring proper and efficient operation.
Prepare and pour sand molds in accordance with all quality standards and production requirements.
Extract castings from sand molds post-pour and inspect them for quality, identifying any defects or deviations from specifications.
Responsible for maintaining product quality and resolving any unusual operating conditions.
Operate a forklift as needed.
Demonstrate flexibility by adjusting work schedule and duties to meet the needs of the company.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
May be required to successfully complete specific education, training, or certification programs relevant to the role.
