Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level minimum of 20 pounds frequently.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with rapid hand and eye coordination to move product on a conveyor and/or other processing equipment.
  • Ability and willingness to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours.
  • Ability and willingness to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently.
  • Ability and willingness to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees.
  • Ability and willingness to distinguish between shades and/or colors.

Nice To Haves

  • Machine Operator experience preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
  • RF Scanner experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Move racked product and remove racks to the rack wash area.
  • Move 900 pounds of product on racks from the holding cooler to the peeler room.
  • Empty smokehouse chills when the product is ready.
  • Perform necessary weight and process checks.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.
  • Must be HACCP certified to do FIT checks on the KSI.
  • Take salimeter readings and adjust if necessary.
  • Check and clean the KSI screens.
  • Pick up floor meat and/or trash in the clean room and transport to the clean room vestibule.
  • Will need to be tow motor certified to transport tanks and racks.
  • Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
  • Ability and willingness to complete all paperwork and SAP functions
  • Ability and willingness to complete all paperwork and accurately record and report product information into the computer.
  • Maintain general manufacturing practices.
  • Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
  • Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
  • Perform any other work as assigned by management.
