About The Position

Spectrum Industries, Inc. is looking for a new team member to operate a variety of multiple conventional, production machines, and/ or equipment at specified machining centers to fabricate sheet metal or metal tubing products, parts, and components. Performs minor setup and adjustment functions on the machine Mounts, installs, aligns, and secures tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments Measures dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures Adjusts machine feed and speed, changes cutting tools, or adjusts machine controls when automatic programming is faulty or if the machines malfunction Stops machines to remove finished work pieces, or to change tooling, setup, or work piece placement Manually lifts work pieces to machines, or with the assistance of a lifting mechanism to load and unload machinery Verifies conformance of finished work pieces to specifications Records and submits accurate work time and job functions on daily time documents and routing sheets Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six months to one year of related work experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Performs minor setup and adjustment functions on the machine
  • Mounts, installs, aligns, and secures tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments
  • Measures dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures
  • Adjusts machine feed and speed, changes cutting tools, or adjusts machine controls when automatic programming is faulty or if the machines malfunction
  • Stops machines to remove finished work pieces, or to change tooling, setup, or work piece placement
  • Manually lifts work pieces to machines, or with the assistance of a lifting mechanism to load and unload machinery
  • Verifies conformance of finished work pieces to specifications
  • Records and submits accurate work time and job functions on daily time documents and routing sheets
  • Other duties as assigned
