POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Tiger Plant Superintendent, this position supports the production teams in all areas of the designated machine and plant; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Requirements

  • On-the-job training experience as required to be able to perform duties.
  • Ability to supervise personnel effectively.
  • Requires basic reading, writing and mathematical and verbal skills.
  • Ability to operate concrete production equipment, wet line, dry line and any other equipment required to perform duties.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, single and double, and any other equipment required to perform duties.
  • Predictable and Regular in-person attendance is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing production machinery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of block machine mechanics, functions, and performance indicators including but not limited to step functions of a cycle, step times, step function adjustments
  • Works with the Tiger Supervisor, to optimize production schedules, coordinate with mold shop, assist with updating plant employees on product characteristics such and quality, color, curing, splitting, labeling and yard placement.
  • Demonstrate ability to execute and lead others on mold changes, height changes, color changes, and general machine adjustments
  • Advanced knowledge of all aggregates and raw materials and ability to identify by visual indicators
  • Advanced knowledge of batching system, batch reporting, moisture adjustments and product mix designs
  • Demonstrate ability to perform visual and physical product quality inspections
  • Verify that all production machines are running properly and safely
  • Continuously observe machine during production to promote optimum product yield
  • Monitor cubing line to optimize production flow and up time
  • Demonstrate ability to assist with training plant personnel, including Cuber, Inside Forklift Operator, Outside Forklift Operator and general laborers on equipment and operation of block machine
  • Accurately complete daily machine reports including but not limited to batch reports, operator reports, down time reports, dry side reports
  • Work with Tiger Plant Supervisor/Tiger Plant Superintendent to assure production team and performs a variety of personnel functions including but not limited to training, evaluating and disciplining.
  • Processes product quality inspections and discards sub-standard product.
  • Performs daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance on the production equipment.
  • Keeps work area clean and free of hazards, and direct team on proper cleanup procedures.
  • Keep up to date on safety guidelines from EHS and assure team members are adhering to standards.
  • Completes all paperwork and inspections as required by company standards.
  • Attend and assist as needed in safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
  • Predictable and Regular attendance is required. Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed. Possible shift rotations.
