Environment for Manufacturing Machine Operator: This position is in our Wyoming location focused on metals. The manufacturing machine operator will be working with multiple balers to bale metals. It is often loud instead the plant due to machinery. PPE is required such as hard hat, safety glasses, high vis, steel toed shoes, and gloves when needed. This role is inside all day in a plant that is hard to regulate the temperature (it can be hot or cold depending on weather outside). Manufacturing Machine Operator Schedule: Variable schedule 12 hour shift (Nights) 6pm - 6am Manufacturing Machine Operator Position Summary: The Manufacturing Machine Operator operator is responsible for supporting production operations with a strong focus on inventory accuracy and documentation. This role safely operates equipment to move materials through the facility while ensuring materials are properly scanned, tracked, and recorded in inventory and production systems.

Requirements

  • Six months operating small equipment experience preferred (hilo, loader, forklift, scissor lift)
  • Equipment operation and preventative maintenance knowledge (conveyors, pulleys, etc)
  • Loader operator experience preferred
  • Inventory experience required
  • Hilo experience required
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast pace environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Accuracy in operation and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Loader operator experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Scan material tags in and out of the inventory system to accurately track inbound and outbound materials
  • Enter daily production records and inventory data into company systems with a high level of accuracy
  • Verify material counts, grades, and locations to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Identify and report inventory discrepancies and work with supervisors to resolve issues
  • Safely operate equipment such as hi-lo, forklift, loader, sweeper, and/or small loader
  • Distinguish between various grades and types of materials using basic identification standards
  • Monitor material flow through the plant to ensure proper tracking and documentation
  • Perform required before, during, and after-operation equipment checks related to inventory movement
  • Maintain clean, organized, and clearly labeled inventory and staging areas
  • Communicate equipment, inventory, or system issues to management promptly
  • Protect and maintain company equipment, materials, and property
  • Complete required inventory, production, and operational paperwork
