About The Position

Machine Operator II (Pkg) Responsible for properly setting up and operating machines to ensure product can run effectively and smoothly. Duties and Responsibilities Reads production schedules. Sets up packaging machines from a schedule. Runs packaging machines at proper standard speeds with minimal waste. Assures the correct codes, dates, prices, and stickers are on the bags. Makes corrections and adjustments to the machines throughout the day. Changes over from one order to another with minimal downtown. Ensures work area is kept clean and orderly. Checks bag weights to ensure accuracy. Puts film away and keeps covered with bags. Adheres to common safety practices/guidelines. Responsible for following food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as: GMP's, food safety, product quality, food security, plant security and other government guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Lead.

Requirements

Hayssen Machine: 1 year (Required)
Previous experience working in the snack food industry - preferably in manufacturing, packaging, etc.
Ability to read, write and understand the English language.
Basic math skills.
Mechanical ability.
Good communication skills.
The ability to attend work predictably and regularly and to be punctual.
The ability to read and understand documents, drawings, and instructions (whether presented in written, oral, diagram or schedule form).
The ability to work with mathematical concepts and to apply concepts to practical situations.
The ability to work cooperatively with others.
The ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and coworkers.
The ability to perform several tasks at once.
The ability to follow directions or instruction.
