The position combines Utility and Boxmaker roles for the One-Step Department as a Machine Operator position. The incumbent will hand-pack boxes, assist operators, and safely operate boxmaker equipment in line with production needs. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn and apply SAP system, FMS, and Customer Profiles.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Meet goals in safety, quality, production, performance, and cost.
  • Pack finished products into boxes and produce scrap/finished good tickets.
  • Move containers of finished products and production supplies using a pallet jack or other means.
  • Inspect products (bottles, boxes, skids) while packing to ensure quality specifications.
  • Ensure machines are running and producing quality products; run boxmaker and related equipment according to schedule.
  • Check machine quality, recognize defects. Be able use Customer Profiles to meet product specifications.
  • Complete training for one-step robots, provide support for One-Step Operators, and assist with hand-packing as required.
  • Enter work orders into FMS.
  • Perform secondary labeling and ticketing of finished goods.
  • Help with preventive maintenance activities.
  • Clearly communicate relevant information to the next shift, supervision, maintenance, and other personnel.
  • Maintain a safe, clean work area and follow all GMP and safety rules.
  • Understand and utilize Lock Out Tag Out
  • Perform other related assignments as directed by supervision.
