About The Position
Oakwood Veneer Company is hiring a Machine Operator – Hand Assembly / Repair for a full-time, steady day shift role in a clean manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for individuals seeking hands-on production work involving assembly, repair, fine motor skills, and repetitive tasks. In this role, you will work directly with wood veneer, using a heated iron and hand tools to mend, bond, and repair materials. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to stay focused while performing consistent, repetitive hand work throughout the shift. No prior experience is required, but candidates must be comfortable working with their hands in a production setting. This is a full-time Monday through Friday position from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. The position pays $17.05 per hour based on a 40-hour work week. There are no nights, weekends, or holiday requirements, providing a stable and predictable schedule. This role is based in a 44,000 sq. ft. clean, bright, and well-organized manufacturing facility, free from the heavy grease and noise found in many production environments. The position involves operating a heated iron to repair and bond veneer, performing detailed hand assembly and repair using fingers and small tools, and completing repetitive production tasks while maintaining consistent quality standards. Candidates must be comfortable with repetitive hand movements, fine detail work, and standing or working with their hands for extended periods. Strong hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to stay focused on task are essential. No prior experience is required, but candidates must be dependable and capable of maintaining consistent output in a production setting.
