This person will be responsible for shearing and leveling all materials to customer specifications and for in-process operations to feed material to all mills. Requirements

1-2 years of experience
Requires high school diploma or equivalent
Position demands the ability to use basic arithmetic and to interpret and adhere to specification requirements.
Basic math skills (i.e., decimals, percentages) are required to perform necessary job functions
An understanding of basic measuring equipment (micrometers, dial calipers and dial indicators) and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to communicate proficiently both orally and in writing using the English language
Business needs and trade compliance requirements mandate that this position be held by a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.
Must be able to lift and maneuver up to fifty (50) pounds.
Routinely operates/uses equipment, machines, and tools requiring hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity
Must have 20/20 correctible vision
Routinely communicates face-to-face
Routinely performs duties in production floor environment
Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees including bending, twisting, pulling and stopping
Must be able to stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time or for an entire work shift
Must be able to wear protective gear

Responsibilities

Shear orders or in-process materials as required to meet customer specifications.
Set machine to level orders or in-process materials as required to meet customer specifications.
Assist slitters to coil material.
Use lift equipment to move and position material as necessary.
Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain high quality standards.
Assure consistent product quality through established production methods and techniques; understand cause and effect of process variables on final product.
Recommend improvements to safety and housekeeping procedures following the JSA procedures.
Maintain equipment in safe and efficient operation by working closely with maintenance department. Identify preventative maintenance routines.
Maintain work area in a clean, safe and orderly condition.
