Summary: Operates machine(s) to produce quality parts in a proficient manner. Examine machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose any sources of trouble. Perform repairs and adjustments as necessary. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Performs start-stop procedures including, but not limited to: machine start-up, loading of raw materials, detecting malfunctions, making accurate tooling adjustments, checking parts according to quality standards and machine shutdown. Completes all records, forms, and electronic data entry as required. Performs preventative machine maintenance. Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, temperature or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media. Recognizes and reports machine malfunctions and part discrepancies to Supervisor. Ensures tooling is maintained and serviced as needed. Ensures safety procedures are being followed. Operate other machines as needed.
