About The Position

Responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing all production equipment for productivity and safety.

Requirements

  • Must have basic English oral, written and communication skills.
  • Basic Math skills required.
  • Strong knowledgeof machine wiring and electrical components.
  • Familiar with tools of the trade required for proper job execution.
  • Ability to work independently, self motivated.
  • Mechanical skills and prior experience in machine maintenance functions.
  • Skilled in preventive maintenance measures and trouble shooting.
  • Organized and efficient in time management skills.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to professionally interact with outside maintenance contractors when required.
  • Capable of following all required SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures) and safety programs.
  • Must have knowledge of repair and maintenance on the following equipment: Unipac and Norden tube fillers, volumetric fillers, Kaps-All capper, Video Jet & Econo Jet coders, New Jersey & Harland labelers, Loveshaw case sealers, various transfer pumps and all related filling equipment.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Minimum of 5-7 years of general machine maintenance in a contract packaging environment. A combination of vocational training, education and experience that is equivalent to the employment standards listed above and provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Minimum 5-7 year's experience in a contract manufacturing environment. Must be experienced in the maintenance of the following machine types: Liquid Tube fillers, Volumetric Fillers, Cappers, Coders, Labelers, Transfer Pumps and all other related filling equipment.
  • Must be able to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot electrical circuits.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all required daily maintenance on production equipment and machinery.
  • Perform set up and wash down of equipment in compliance with company protocols as required by cGMP's (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Assess and identify any machine performance or safety issues and seek resolution through inspections, tests, and adjustments to meet standards of machine performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of all machine inspections, tests, repairs, and preventive maintenance in machine maintenance logs.
  • Disassemble equipment as required for equipment maintenance and inspections. Repair damaged or worn parts as required.
  • Ensure that all machine areas are kept clean of debris, tools, and nonessential parts.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
