About The Position

JBS is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This role is critical to ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our high-speed production equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Must pass a mechanical knowledge test.
Physical requirements : Ability to climb ladders, lift heavy objects, work with a variety of hand tools, power tools, and shop machinery.
Must be able t o work in areas of extreme heat and cold conditions. These are evening and night shift positions
High School D iploma or GED required.
2 – 3 years of industrial mechanic experience in a food industry environment preferred.
Basic computer skills a plus.
No licenses required; training provided.
Position requires a drug test and background check.
Ability to learn quickly, make sound decisions, and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong teamwork skills and willingness to perform a variety of tasks

Nice To Haves

2 – 3 years of industrial mechanic experience in a food industry environment preferred.
Basic computer skills a plus.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair high-speed manufacturing and packaging equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, v alves, cylinders, case formers, labeling equipment, fillers, and conveyors.
Perform welding tasks (Stainless Steel, MIG, TIG) as needed.
Conduct routine maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment.
Perform Labeling and Tagging of systems and/or checks for verifications.
Support the plant equipment, and maintaining a safe plant meeting all federal, state and local environment requirements.
