About The Position

The Machine Builder / Fabricator role involves building, fabricating, and assembling custom machinery and automation equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical, electrical, and welding skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and adapt to changing priorities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Certification
  • Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.
  • Intermediate proficiency in reading part and assembly drawings.
  • Ability to maintain a steady pace while bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and climbing onto and beneath machines.
  • Experience operating CNC machines (lathe, mill).
  • Familiarity with automation equipment and testing procedures.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude with a focus on safety and quality.
  • Proven ability to accept direction and complete tasks as assigned while working as part of a team or individually.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD for scalable Machine Learning deployment Knowledge of computational chemistry and cheminformatics
  • Background in pharmaceutical or industrial chemical analysis

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and work from mechanical fabrication drawings.
  • Provide feedback to the mechanical design team for improvements or clarifications.
  • Perform precision fabrication using hand tools and power tools.
  • Weld steel components to required specifications.
  • Assemble pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Operate CNC equipment such as lathes and mills (experience preferred but not required).
  • Wire electrical panels according to provided electrical schematics.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Assist the automation team with equipment testing and troubleshooting.
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks related to machine building and integration.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time for installations, support, or training.
