Machine Assembly and Repair Technicians support operations through a variety of activities required to complete machinery repairs and new machinery builds.

Requirements

Full knowledge of mig, tig and stick welding applications including both mild and stainless steel
Adherence to safe work practices in an industrial environment
Ability to work as a self-directed individual and as part of a team
Availability to work overtime when required
Ability to lift up to 50-lbs
Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and schematics
Drive a forklift
Must possess full range of mechanical and fabricator tools
Must pass full drug screening and background check

Nice To Haves

Machinery Maintenance background
Electrical controls, PLC, and troubleshooting
Welding and fabrication
Use of overhead cranes and rigging
Experience in Scrap Metal recycling or Waste recycling
Development I Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures
Experience working in a small department
Lean Manufacturing implementation

Responsibilities

Fabrication of machine components
Mechanical assembly of machinery and sub-assemblies
Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting and repair
Repair of rotors, magnets, and motors
Operation of Steinert equipment for testing and sample processing
Adjustment and tuning of equipment to optimize performance
Developing, preparing, and completing work progress documentation
Parts usage and project routing documentation
Other documentation as assigned
Equipment cleaning and painting
Rigging and crating equipment for shipment
Other duties as assigned
Aid in presenting the technical capabilities of Steinert's products as requested
Individual must be willing to aid the company in other functions when required
Provide technical training to staff as required
