About The Position

We are hiring an experienced Mac Operator for our printing plant team in Eagan, Minnesota. As a Mac Operator, you will join a culture where safety and continuous improvements are a priority, and employees are expected to work collaboratively to serve our customers and support the business. For this role, you would also be eligible for a $2,500 sign-on bonus after 90 days. Hours of Work – Eagan, Minnesota 3rd shift – 10:30 pm – 6:30 am Occasional overtime up to 4 hours per day and occasional weekend shifts In this opportunity as a Mac Operator, you will be responsible for: Retrieving electronic customer files from network storage locations. Inspecting files and templates for proper imposition, trim, bleeds, trap, fonts, and images. Editing and creating PostScript, EPS, and PDFs as required. Preflights and/or troubleshoot customer files to ensure efficient and cost-effective production. Using application software to edit and adjust files, calculate and impose page layouts, and/or build templates. Using computer-based workflow applications to manage files. Troubleshooting general hardware, software, and network problems Identifying solutions to non-standard requests from customers. Work results are not typically checked by others Equipment includes: Graphic Imposition/Mac About You: You're a fit for the role of Mac Operator if your background includes: Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher. Candidates with a vocational/technical degree are strongly preferred Ability to read, interpret and explain documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and production orders Experience with Lean and continuous improvement Good communication skills including experience sharing information across shifts and departments Proven success as a trainer Competence with rulers and measurement Can regularly lift at least 5 lbs. above the shoulder as well as push, pull, and lift at least 10 lbs occasionally up to 50 lbs Regularly standing walking, crouching, bending, reaching, and kneeling

Requirements

  • Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher.
  • Ability to read, interpret and explain documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and production orders
  • Experience with Lean and continuous improvement
  • Good communication skills including experience sharing information across shifts and departments
  • Proven success as a trainer
  • Competence with rulers and measurement
