About The Position

Sushi by Scratch Restaurants isn’t just a dining experience; it’s an intimate journey into the art of sushi. Tucked into hidden corners across the U.S., we create spaces where every seat feels personal, and every bite tells a story. Guided by our Head Chef our team honors Japanese tradition while embracing inventive techniques and unexpected flavors, crafting moments that linger long after the last course is served. We are looking for an experienced and polished Maître d’ to oversee guest front of house service, reservations and be the ambassador of our restaurant, while being available to assist our Bar Program as needed.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Maître d’ or Host, in the Hospitality industry
Passion for Hospitality and the ability to provide exceptional service and create lasting memories for our guests
Warm and Professional communication and leadership skills
Are a reliable, flexible team player willing to learn and adapt to new situations
Have availability to work nights and weekends, including Holidays

Nice To Haves

Priority will be given to candidates with Bartending experience

Responsibilities

Coordinating and Managing Reservations
Answering the Phone, Emails, and Text Messages from Guests
Greet and Welcome Guests into the Restaurant, ensuring a High Standard of Hospitality
Coordinate with the Chef and FOH Staff to Ensure Timely and Efficient Service
Ensure Compliance with Sanitation and Safety Regulations
Promote the Brand in the Local Community through Word-of-Mouth and Restaurant Events
Foster a Collaborative Spirit by Supporting your Colleagues
Interact with Guests and Team Members with Warmth and Professionalism
Ensure Thoughtfulness, Accuracy, and Precision in All Aspects of Service
Maintain an Updated Knowledge of the Menu, Beverage List, and Specials
Manage VIP Guests and Special Events to Ensure an Exceptional Experience
Regularly Review Product for Quality
Assist with the Bar Service Program, as scheduling needs require
