About The Position

Advanced Dermatology and Skin Care Center is growing and seeking an experienced Medical Assistants and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our expanding Ohio region clinics, including locations in Salem, Warren, and Boardman, OH. This opportunity is part of our continued growth to provide state-of-the-art dermatology care in the region. We are looking for compassionate, skilled, and professional nurses who are passionate about patient care and want to grow their career in a collaborative, fast-paced dermatology practice. About the Role The Medical Assistant and LPN/LVN at Advanced Dermatology is responsible for supporting providers in delivering exceptional patient care. This includes performing focused assessments, assisting with procedures, administering medications, providing patient education, and contributing to the overall workflow of the clinic. The LPN may work in place of an MA, UCT, or CCT when needed, always within the scope of nursing practice and clinic protocols.

Requirements

  • Current MA / LPN licensure in the state of Ohio
  • BLS certification required
  • Strong communication and patient service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year of dermatology experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Accompany providers during patient visits and assist with procedures
  • Perform patient triage, including vital signs, history taking, and observational assessment
  • Document patient encounters in the electronic health record (EHR) accurately and thoroughly
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed
  • Educate patients and families about diagnostic procedures, medications, nutrition, and health maintenance
  • Maintain clean and well-stocked exam rooms and ensure equipment is prepared for use
  • Schedule follow-up appointments or procedures as directed by providers
  • Participate in telephone triage and patient instruction under approved protocols
  • Assist with prescription management, including preparation, prior authorizations, and medication reconciliation
  • Observe, record, and report patient conditions and reactions to treatments
  • Follow all HIPAA regulations and clinic policies for patient confidentiality and safety
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide a supportive, patient-centered environment
