About The Position

PeopleTec is currently seeking an M&S Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location. PeopleTec is seeking a motivated individual who is interested in joining an award-winning company and working with cutting-edge technologies to include flight testing, lethality, missile defense, and space systems. The selected candidate will be a member of our dynamic Huntsville team and will work on projects involving product design, development, testing, and analysis. Our team supports state-of-the-art projects, blending engineering skills and software design to perform research and analysis, modeling and simulation, software development, testing, and verification. Team members work with a wide-ranging group of customers to understand project requirements and develop innovative and creative solutions to address the nation’s most pressing challenges. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess effective communication skills, and be able to fill multiple engineering roles.

Requirements

  • Travel: Up to 20 %
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Applicant will be required to obtain and maintain at least a Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering or scientific field of study from an accredited college or university and 2 years of progressively complex experience in computer simulation, M&S, and algorithm development
  • A relevant master’s degree in engineering or science from an accredited college or university may be substituted for 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in developmental test and/or operational test and evaluation for DoD programs is a plus
  • Experience with the verification and validation of modeling and simulation tools is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Trajectory analysis and flight test modeling and simulation
  • Ability to perform modeling and simulation efforts that will support the analysis of weapons effectiveness
  • Identification of requirements, modeling system dynamics, verifying and integrating software components, and simulating results in Python
  • Ability to perform analysis that will support the development of experiments to support the creation of weapon effectiveness algorithms
  • Support operational and development testing in austere locations, performing duties in the planning and execution of weapon testing
  • Provide post test analysis through careful reviews of test data, models, and pre-test predictions
  • Familiarity with statistical methods to aid in determining weapon effectiveness based on test data and M&S
  • Support the analysis and decomposition of customer requirements and the subsequent development of measurable tasks to be completed by the engineering and software teams
  • Assist in troubleshooting and problem resolution in support of requirements analysis, program design and development, unit testing, verification, integration, and reporting
  • Familiar with high level programming languages such as C++, C#, and/or Python
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project)
  • Familiarity with the development and integration of engineering tools into software
  • Sound oral communication and technical writing skills and the ability to clearly communicate technical approaches and findings to the team and the government customer
  • The ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
