About The Position

Ready to work on deals that actually move the needle? As a Manager in our M&A Tax practice, you’ll step into a high-impact, client-facing role where your work directly shapes transaction outcomes. You’ll partner with sophisticated clients and collaborative teams to tackle complex M&A tax matters—from due diligence through structuring—while building trusted-advisor relationships and influencing how deals get done. Client Leadership & Engagement Management Lead client and billable tasks and ensure consistent client support throughout the year Manage multiple clients and engagements, including: Managing client expectations Ensuring client satisfaction Meeting deadlines Leading change efforts effectively Interact closely with clients to provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise related to transaction tax impacts M&A Tax Execution & Technical Delivery Support and manage core M&A Tax functions, including: Tax due diligence Tax modeling Transaction structuring Internal restructuring Perform and oversee analyses related to transaction tax matters Assist with additional tax-related projects as requested Team Leadership & Collaboration Create strong partnerships with engagement teams to ensure work remains on track Lead efficiency opportunities and help manage client work Work closely with partners and staff on: Client management Practice development Business development initiatives Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement Identify and drive process improvements and efficiency opportunities Ensure engagement teams are aligned, organized, and meeting project milestones Who We Are #LifeatCohen Sure, we like numbers. Requirements

  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in public accounting
  • Prior experience supporting M&A Tax engagements
  • CPA or JD strongly preferred
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills
  • Excellent internal and external communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead client and billable tasks and ensure consistent client support throughout the year

  • Create strong partnerships with engagement teams to ensure work remains on track
  • Lead efficiency opportunities and help manage client work
  • Work closely with partners and staff on: Client management, Practice development, Business development initiatives
  • Identify and drive process improvements and efficiency opportunities
  • Ensure engagement teams are aligned, organized, and meeting project milestones
