About The Position

Accordion seeks an M&A Integration Management Office (IMO) and Operations person at the VP/Director level to own and drive integration execution across acquisitions and to support Accordion’s global expansion by operationalizing regulatory and operational frameworks that enable our business teams to enter and scale in new markets. This position must be based in our New York City office and is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work remotely 2 days a week. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • 10+ years’ experience in M&A integration, Strategy, PMO/IMO, or operations, preferably within professional services, consulting, or PE-backed environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-jurisdictional integrations and/or global expansion programs, with a track record of building and running structured governance.
  • Strong familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations relevant to cross-border professional services (e.g., data/privacy, employment, tax, licensing), and the ability to operationalize them into business processes.
  • Exceptional program management, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive accountability without direct authority.
  • Comfortable operating in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment, with a bias toward structure, scalability, and execution discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Build and run a central Integration Management Office, driving disciplined planning, execution, and tracking across all workstreams (operations, finance, legal, HR, technology, commercial) for M&A integrations.
  • Design and run integration governance: cadences, decision rights, issue/risk escalation and mitigation, and reporting to senior leadership and sponsors.
  • Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, HR, Finance, Operations, Marketing, and Business leaders to translate deal theses into detailed integration and operating plans, including synergy realization and change management.
  • Lead post-close operating model design and implementation (processes, controls, KPIs, RACI) to ensure acquired businesses are effectively integrated and scalable.
  • Support Accordion’s global expansion efforts by building and operationalizing regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., licensing, data/privacy, employment, tax, financial/consulting regulations) into repeatable processes and playbooks that business teams can use to enter new markets.
  • Translate complex regulatory requirements in key jurisdictions into clear, actionable operational processes, checklists, and workflows embedded in how we sell, deliver, staff, bill, and report.
  • Establish and maintain country/region “go-to-market packs” (requirements, controls, approvals, and standard operating procedures) to enable faster, compliant market entry and scaling.
  • Partner with local counsel, advisors, and internal SMEs to continuously update frameworks and processes as regulations evolve across jurisdictions.
  • Drive cross-functional execution on both integration and expansion initiatives, ensuring alignment, accountability, and transparency across stakeholders.
  • Implement tools, templates, and dashboards for IMO and global expansion programs (e.g., integration plans, risk/issues logs, milestones, KPIs, governance trackers).
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline onboarding of acquired entities and reduce time to revenue and operational stability.
  • Serve as a central point of coordination between corporate functions and business leaders for integration and expansion initiatives, ensuring decisions are timely, risks are managed, and dependencies are clear.
