The M&A Integration Lead is pivotal in ensuring Armanino captures the full strategic and financial value of its acquisitions. This leader drives all integration activities from pre‑close planning through post‑close stabilization and business continuity, aligning executive leadership, acquired organizations, and internal teams around shared outcomes. Operating with significant autonomy, they lead the M&A Project Management Office (PMO) and ensure integrations are executed with speed, clarity, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of M&A integration leadership experience within professional services
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven track record managing multiple complex integrations, including cross‑border and international deals, and navigating TSAs in carve‑out/divestiture scenarios.
  • Strong strategic and commercial acumen, with the ability to align integration activities to business goals and make informed decisions amid ambiguity.
  • Exceptional leadership, influence, and stakeholder management skills, inspiring cross‑functional teams under tight deadlines while engaging effectively at all organizational levels.
  • People‑ and culture‑centered approach paired with resilience and adaptability, fostering collaboration across diverse groups while maintaining focus, accountability, and continuously improving integration playbooks.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive, value‑driven integration plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Oversee integration activities across 5–10 simultaneous M&A transactions, effectively balancing priorities, resources, and timelines.
  • Lead and mentor a team of 3–5 integration specialists (IT, HR, PMO, and others as needed) and guide non‑dedicated M&A partners (finance, communications, legal, quality, etc.) through diligence, discovery, onboarding, and execution.
  • Establish and manage operating rhythms, including stand‑ups, leadership huddles, escalation paths, and reporting cadences,to ensure alignment and transparency with acquired entities, internal teams, and executive leadership.
  • Identify and mitigate integration risks while ensuring adherence to regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Define KPIs, track performance, and monitor progress to drive timely, successful integration outcomes.
  • Create and continually refine standardized integration methodologies, tools, and templates to support consistency and scalability across deals.
  • Design and implement change‑management strategies to reduce disruption and accelerate adoption of new processes, systems, and structures.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on integration status, risks, financial impact, and key decisions.
  • Partner with executive leadership and practice-line deal sponsors to report on post‑close goals and metrics and to manage the deal‑review lookback process.
