Job Purpose: To provide general and routine nursing services providing for the optimun health of the individuals who have a range of mental health issues Must work as part of a team of professional and medical staff Will support people with issues ranging from anxiety, depression to personality and health issues
Requirements
- Must have current Texas Licensed in Vocation Nursing
- Have ability to apply the principles of current nursing information
- Have good understanding of the theories of mental health and illness
- Must have valid TX driver's license and be insurable
Nice To Haves
- Have psychiatric experience or other social services agency, preferred
Responsibilities
- Assessing and planning nursing care requirements
- Visiting patients at home
- Combating stigma and helping patients and their families manage it
- Writing and updating patient records
- Performing risk-assessments
- Ensure timely documentation in Electronic Health Records
