About The Position

The Nursing Supervisor (LVN) oversees day‑to‑day nursing operations within our detox and residential treatment programs. This role provides leadership, clinical oversight, and support to nursing staff while ensuring safe, compliant, and high‑quality care for all clients. The Supervisor serves as the primary on‑shift resource for medical concerns, workflow coordination, and adherence to facility protocols.

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted LVN license in the State of California.
  • 2–3 years of nursing experience, preferably in detox, residential, or behavioral health settings.
  • Strong knowledge of withdrawal management, medication safety, and crisis response.
  • Excellent communication skills and high attention to documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to lead teams, make sound clinical decisions, and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee nursing assessments at admission, during treatment, and at discharge.
  • Ensure accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Respond to medical concerns, triage client needs, and coordinate care with providers, urgent care, or emergency services.
  • Uphold detox safety protocols, withdrawal monitoring standards, and client safety procedures.
  • Administer medications and ensure compliance with physician orders and facility policies.
  • Lead daily nursing operations, including task assignments and workflow coordination.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all pods during assigned shifts.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and real‑time support to LVNs, MAs, and support staff.
  • Monitor staff performance and reinforce consistent standards of care.
  • Participate in training, onboarding, and professional development activities.
  • Conduct medication inventory checks and ensure proper storage, tracking, and accountability.
  • Coordinate prescription refills with pharmacy and prescribing providers.
  • Document and report medical incidents, safety concerns, and adverse reactions per facility procedures.
  • Submit daily shift reports, updates, and incident summaries to nursing leadership.
  • Collaborate with clinical, operations, and support teams to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
