Responsibilities The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) identifies patient needs, maintains quality standards, and provides basic patient care. The LVN also partners with the Registered Nurse (RN) to perform skills, procedures, and other tasks that are outside their clinical scope of practice. Qualifications Education High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required Completion of an accredited Vocational Nursing School program OR become licensed by equivalency required Licenses and Certifications BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required LVN - Current State of California Licensed Vocational Nurse License required LVNIVTX - IV Therapy Certification (LVN) required Disclaimers Pay ranges listed are an estimate and subject to change.
