About The Position

The LVN II is accountable and responsible for selected aspects of patient care for a designated group of patients within the LVN scope of practice, in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The LVN practice is assigned, delegated, and supervised by a RN or MD who has overall responsibility for the coordination and management of care.

Requirements

  • Minimum one (1) year of LVN experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting.
  • Graduate of an accredited school for Licensed Vocational Nursing.
  • Knowledge and ability to provide age appropriate patient care and cultural and spiritual needs.
  • Ability to set goals and judge results in accordance with the highest standards and respect; advance care through development of new ideas and technology; promote teamwork to achieve CHOC’s mission; understand and exceed customer expectations; effectively solve complex patient care and organizational problems; role model positive and professional behavior.
  • Ability to think critically; work independently; manage multiple assignments; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse - CA (LVN)
  • Ped Emerg Assess Recog & Stabil (PEARS) - must be completed within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English/ Spanish both written and verbal.
