About The Position

The LVN II is accountable and responsible for selected aspects of patient care for a designated group of patients within the LVN scope of practice, in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The LVN practice is assigned, delegated, and supervised by a RN or MD who has overall responsibility for the coordination and management of care.

Requirements

Minimum one (1) year of LVN experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting.
Graduate of an accredited school for Licensed Vocational Nursing.
Knowledge and ability to provide age appropriate patient care and cultural and spiritual needs.
Ability to set goals and judge results in accordance with the highest standards and respect; advance care through development of new ideas and technology; promote teamwork to achieve CHOC’s mission; understand and exceed customer expectations; effectively solve complex patient care and organizational problems; role model positive and professional behavior.

Basic Life Support (BLS)
Licensed Vocational Nurse - CA (LVN)
Ped Emerg Assess Recog & Stabil (PEARS) - must be completed within 6 months of hire.
