About The Position

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) at the Women's Health Clinic plays a critical role in delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for providing direct nursing care, assisting the physician/ nurse practitioner and other healthcare professionals, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout their appointment. The LVN will perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and preparing patients for examinations and treatments. Additionally, the LVN will document patient information accurately and communicate effectively with the healthcare team to support efficient patient flow. Ultimately, this role contributes to the overall mission of the Women's Health Clinic by promoting timely, effective, and patient-centered services.  May be floated to another clinic based on patient needs.

Requirements

  • Current and valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of Texas.
  • Completion of an accredited vocational nursing program.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse patient populations.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing principles, patient care standards, and medical terminology.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a clinic specalizing in women's health needs
  • Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in an women's center or similar healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare software.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient assessments including taking vital signs and recording medical histories.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with nursing protocols.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and assist healthcare providers during procedures.
  • Document patient care activities and update electronic health records accurately and promptly.
  • Monitor patient conditions and report any changes or concerns to the supervising healthcare provider.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care instructions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
