Job Description: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensures collection of all information necessary for new patient assessment and schedules new patient clinic visits. Triages and prioritizes patient needs in clinic, with phone calls, and the patient portal. Initiates follow-up with appropriate source(s). Provides clinical data to ensure proper authorizations are obtained to assure accurate billing and reimbursement. Coordinates patient care for physician and ensures timely appropriate follow-up. Assists in the education of patient and family on disease process and addresses their individual needs and concerns. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Current LVN license issued by the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners. Preferred 1 – 3 years of oncology experience. LIST ANY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS OR SKILLS REQUIRED TO INCLUDE LANGUAGE AND EQUPMENT. Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills required. Basic computer skills necessary.
