About The Position

Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Acute Medical Dept Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location\: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. Fort Worth TX 76104 Work hours\: Full Time (7A-7P) for 36 hrs/week. Weekend and holiday requirements Department highlights: · Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth · Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team · 38 bed Acute Medical unit improves the quality of care for the medical patient. Patients are admitted to this floor for multiple acute chronic diseases such as TB, GI, Pneumonia, Dialysis, Ortho as well as trachs, isolations and cardiac overflow. All beds can be tele monitored · We are a General Medicine Residency unit which has Medicine Interns and second and third year Physicians on the unit 24/7. · No Lift Environment – unit has been recognized for not having employee injuries for over 10 years. Requirements

• Graduate of accredited vocational nursing program required.
• LVN- Licensed Vocational Nursing License upon hire required.
• BCLS prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• CPI within 90 days of hire required.
• 6 Months as an LVN in an acute care hospital setting or completion of THR residency program required.
• Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced, high stress environment.
• Maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients
• Possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
• Have basic computer skills using Medical management application systems

Nice To Haves

• 1+ year experience as a bedside LVN with experience in passing medications preferred
