About The Position

Job Purpose Under the supervision of an LV Quality & Purchasing Supervisor or the department Manager, the LV Quality Specialist performs internal quality tasks to create error-free, linguistically validated Clinical Outcome Assessments (COAs). The role performs editing and proofreading of clinical study documents, reconciles discrepancies with internal and external resources as needed and ensures quality tasks are completed in a timely and thorough manner. Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, English, Foreign Language, Social or Applied Science, or another related field.
Preferably a minimum of one year’s experience in a fast-paced, professional environment.
Strong organizational skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects and competing work demands
Ability to consistently meet deadlines and maintain composure under pressure
Ability to communicate effectively and to clearly understand project requirements
Fluent in written and oral English with the ability to succinctly respond to queries in a timely manner
Proficient computer skills
Possess the skills to problem solve issues independently
A team player who can collaborate effectively with a diverse group of individuals
Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information
Quality focused and detail oriented
Excellent proofreading and visual comparison skills
Good understanding of general linguistics
Aptitude to work with non-standard file types (e.g. .xml files) and manage very basic formatting tags
Expert level understanding of English grammar, syntax and semantics

Nice To Haves

Fluency in a non-English language preferred.
Translation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Understand and adhere to company Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, including but not limited to ISO 9001 and ISO 17100 standards.
Communicate with company customers/clients to obtain specifications and other information to provide accurate and timely quotes, ensuring their needs are met and issues are resolved promptly.
Conduct thorough research and review of licensed COA documents, instrument profiles, and prior translation projects to avoid duplication and provide archive discounts.
Prepare and process quotations for both licensing and translation projects, considering project complexity, type, size, and client specifications.
Coordinate with colleagues in other departments to ensure cost and time estimates are accurate and within company capabilities, and that orders are processed according to client requests.
Maintain organized records of instrument information, updating the instrument database as needed, and communicate updates to the team.
Compose or generate a variety of materials (e.g., reports, memos, letters, manuals) to document activities and convey information regarding the status of client requests and associated projects.
Analyze quoted project prices against actual prices to monitor accuracy and recommend changes to future cost estimates.
Engage in ongoing training and professional development.
Coordinate with the Finance/Accounting Department to ensure proper processing of invoices and payments for projects.
Transfer project files within the company electronic filing system to facilitate processing.
Set up project file folders (specification sheet, purchase order, etc.) and make them available to the production team in a timely manner.
Conduct special projects as assigned.
Recommend policies, procedures, and actions to improve departmental efficiency and product quality, and to meet company quality and cost objectives.
