POSITION OVERVIEW As an Automotive Technician at Grubbs , you will: Diagnose and repair and luxury vehicles using manufacturer procedures and advanced diagnostic tools Perform pre-delivery inspections to ensure new vehicles meet dealership quality standards Conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, brake service, and inspections Maintain vehicle cleanliness and a safe, organized work environment Provide accurate service recommendations to customers Participate in ongoing training to stay current with the latest automotive technology

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (Associate/Bachelor’s preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year of dealership or high-volume shop experience (luxury brand experience preferred)
  • ASE certification preferred, or willingness to obtain
  • Strong mechanical skills and diagnostic ability
  • Valid driver’s license with clean record
  • Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Professional appearance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to lift, bend, kneel, and work in various conditions

Nice To Haves

  • Associate/Bachelor’s preferred
  • luxury brand experience preferred
  • ASE certification preferred, or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

  • Accurately diagnose vehicle issues using experience, tools, and  manufacturer procedures
  • Perform routine maintenance, service repairs, and inspections
  • Conduct pre-delivery vehicle inspections to ensure customer-ready quality
  • Maintain clean and safe workspaces and adhere to shop standards
  • Complete accurate service documentation and comply with all regulations
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers
  • Support overall shop efficiency through inventory, organization, and teamwork
  • Attend required training and service meetings
