Lunch Aide for Grades 7-12
About The Position
Auburn-Washburn Unified School District 437 is a district consisting of 128 square miles of suburban and rural areas in southwest Topeka and Shawnee county. Presently, we have 13 total attendance centers — one early childhood center, seven elementary schools, one middle school, one high school, and two alternative learning centers. To assist the Food Service Manager in developing and maintaining a cafeteria climate that is safe, happy, friendly, and helpful.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret written information pertaining to the lunchroom.
- Personality attributes appropriate to the school setting.
- Ability and desire to assist students in developing and maintaining appropriate cafeteria behavior.
- Ability to use sound judgment and work on feet at least three hours daily.
Responsibilities
- Provide minor cafeteria housekeeping duties (wipe tables, clean minor spills, etc.).
- Provide cafeteria support as directed by the Food Service Manager (serving meals, cashier, dish room duties, etc.).
- Comply with safety procedures to reduce the potential for personal injury or damage to district equipment.
- Knowledge and execution of principles and processes for providing customer services including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.
- Regular, in person, attendance and punctuality are required.
