About The Position

Quanex is looking for Lumber Grader - Day Shift to join our team located in St. Cloud, Minnesota. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting and grading lumber in accordance with NHLA sales codes. The hours for this position are Monday – Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm. Requirements

  • High School or equivalent education required
  • 9+ months lumber grading experience within a manufacturing environment, preferred
  • Must have knowledge of hardwood lumber grades
  • Bringing a positive attitude and team-oriented mentality

Responsibilities

  • Monitors product continuously to ensure quality standards are met
  • Grades lumber manually by inspecting each board and documenting quality and quantity
  • Inspect boards and accurately enters results into a computer
  • Completes grading reports through computers and analyzed differences between company grading results and supplier invoices
