About The Position

Primoris Fleet is actively searching for an experiences Lube Technician to support there Gonzales, LA office. The Lube Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance services on heavy construction equipment, trucks, and support vehicles. This role ensures all fleet and heavy machinery are properly lubricated, serviced, and maintained to maximize uptime and extend equipment life. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in outdoor and field environments. Job Description: Daily responsibilities will include but not be limited to, draining motor oil, changing oil filters, changing grease chassis fitting, inspecting and top off fluids, flushes, adjust tire pressure/tire rotation and washing windshields. Perform a variety of manual duties, usually working in our shop and transferring from one location to another or from one task to another, where demands require assistance of workmen with varied experience and ability to work without close supervision.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 1+ year experience servicing heavy equipment, diesel trucks, or similar machinery preferred
  • Basic knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and preventative maintenance practices
  • Ability to safely operate service trucks and basic hand tools
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (CDL a plus but not required)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor environments in varying weather conditions
  • Must comply with company’s drug and alcohol abuse policy.
  • Must be able to pass physical examination, pre-employment if necessary, and as required by the company.
  • Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.).
  • Able to carry 50 lbs. of tool and/or materials. It is recommended to get assistance to lift items over 50 lbs. Check with your project supervisor or project safety director.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work extended hours on your feet on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel, etc.)
  • Must be able to work while wearing a respirator and other personal protective equipment, when required.

Responsibilities

  • Draining motor oil

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, greasing, and fluid checks on heavy equipment and company vehicles
  • Service construction equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, rollers, water trucks, dump trucks, and pickup trucks
  • Inspect equipment for wear, leaks, or potential mechanical issues and report findings to mechanics or supervisors
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation of maintenance performed
  • Monitor fluid levels and ensure proper lubrication schedules are followed
  • Assist heavy equipment mechanics with minor repairs as needed
  • Maintain clean and organized service truck and work areas
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
  • Travel to field jobsites to perform on-site maintenance as required
