About The Position

Silver Star Construction, a local road construction company - is seeking Lube Tech (Oilers) to perform Preventative Maintenance activities. Candidates will be expected to perform their duties alone. Responsibilities: Lubrication Oil & filter changes Fluid sampling Inspections on trucks and heavy equipment such as motor graders, tractors, dozers, skid steers, etc. in the field and also in a shop environment. Must be able to take direction and accurately log daily activities such as meter readings, fluid changes & samples, inspections, and notes from performing tasks in a clear manner. Daily duties performed by Lube-Tech may vary depending on the type of equipment or vehicle they might service on a daily basis. They will also be expected to operate lube trucks safely and professionally while performing their duties. Lube tech (Oiler) are professionals who work with their hands and perform many physical tasks to check, clean and add fluids to vehicle engines and various pieces of heavy equipment of all types. Lube Tech Skills: Some skills necessary to perform all the different tasks associated with this job: Communication - lube techs work in a collaborative environment, which requires strong verbal communication skills. Time-management - lube techs use time-management skills to perform many tasks within a tight deadline and maintain maintenance schedules for all vehicles. Computer skills - lube techs log information into digital systems and follow digital checklists for vehicle inspections, which requires basic computer knowledge. Driving - lube techs must know how to operate and drive multiple types of vehicles. Physical ability - lube techs lift heavy objects, bend, crouch, and crawl to perform their job duties, all of which require physical ability.
