About The Position

RIP Landfill, a Waste Connections site in Homosassa, FL (Citrus County) has an immediate position open for a Lube Technician to perform preventative maintenance on our fleet of garbage trucks and heavy equipment machines. Individuals with 1+ years experience working on heavy diesel trucks or those that have completed a Diesel Technology program are encouraged to apply. Monday through Friday 40 to 50 hours a week and some Saturday work. Pay Range $22.00 to $26.00

Requirements

Preferably 1+ year experience in heavy truck equipment maintenance and repair or completion of a diesel tech program or good attitude, willingness to learn, and strong work ethic is a preferred quality.
Proficiency in vehicle and equipment diagnosis and repair.
Ability to read and comprehend service and technical information.

Responsibilities

Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
Performs maintenance related work as required.
Performs inspections, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks.
