About The Position

The LTC Pharmacist is responsible for assisting with total operations of Collaborative Pharmacy Services. This includes technician supervision, order entry verification, review, approval, unit dosing, and packaging of unit dose boxes. Other duties as assigned. Kettering Health is a not-for-profit system of 13 medical centers and more than 120 outpatient facilities serving southwest Ohio. Requirements

  • Minimum Education Graduate from an accredited school of pharmacy
  • Required Licenses [Ohio, United States] Pharmacist Current registered Pharmacist license for the State of Ohio
  • Knowledge of drug treatment, interaction, and administration.
  • Knowledge of drug compounding
  • Ability to interact professionally with patients, medical staff, and third party payers
  • Ability to supervise others
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices
  • Organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills - Ability to use Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Long Term Care Pharmacy experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of controlled substance regulations

Responsibilities

  • Verification of orders, ensuring accuracy and clinical appropriateness
  • Verification of packaged medications
  • Provide customers with excellence customer service
  • Oversee duties of Pharmacy Technician
