The Project Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of medium to large projects from start to finish, ensuring projects are completed within the established contractually agreed specifications of time, quality, and budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or computer science or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years related project management experience in the material handling industry
  • Must be flexible to travel to project sites (up to 50%) based on business needs
  • Ability to work any shift, including evenings, overnight and weekends as needed

Responsibilities

  • Plans and directs all project activities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Closely monitors project status and performance against the project plan.
  • Promptly addresses and resolves any escalated conflicts or issues in conjunction with the Site Manager.
  • Manages all internal and external project stakeholders; acts as a liaison between the customer and the company’s project stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Prepares weekly/monthly status reports, to include forecasting any deviations in timelines and budget.
  • Conducts risk and opportunity assessments through regular communication with all stakeholders.
  • Implements mitigation plans as needed to minimize risk.
  • Evaluates the impact and risks of any change requests to the project scope; approves any changes that substantially impact the project scope, budget or schedule.
  • Monitors and ensures all OSHA and safety guidelines are being followed on site.
