About The Position

Primary Responsibilities/Requirements: Must be a licensed LPN Perform general nursing duties in a busy orthopedic/sports medicine practice Escribe/call in medications Schedule/Precert tests such as MRI, CT, etc. as needed Perform x-rays as needed Draw up injections and assist with ultrasound procedures Perform general wound care and educate patients on surgical procedures Locate any necessary test results, and/or reports Assist with filling out forms as needed for return to work, school or sports Prepare for next clinic by printing notes and checking for needed test results Prepare exam rooms, restock supplies for clinic, power up computers, etc. Assist other team members as needed Obtain signature on miscellaneous forms Friendly and Professional patient communication Answering and returning patient phone calls Procedure education Escorting patients to and from exam rooms Appointment reminder calls Responding to and charting patient messages Communicating test results to patients Must also possess: Previous medical experience in a physician clinic setting preferred Orthopedic experience is a plus Ability to communicate effectively with patients, TOC physicians and staff Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in very busy clinical setting Outstanding organizational, verbal and writing skills Independent and highly motivated Exhibit initiative and self-discipline Proven positive, “teamwork” attitude and work history Physical Demands: Must be able to use arms, hands, and fingers skillfully Frequent use of forceful exertion during treatment Frequent moving, pushing, pulling of heavy patients and/or equipment Constant standing and walking Must be agile and able to work efficiently in space limited areas Consistently work at a productive pace Must readily adapt to frequent treatment schedule changes

Requirements

  • Must be a licensed LPN
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, TOC physicians and staff
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in very busy clinical setting
  • Outstanding organizational, verbal and writing skills
  • Independent and highly motivated
  • Exhibit initiative and self-discipline
  • Proven positive, “teamwork” attitude and work history
  • Must be able to use arms, hands, and fingers skillfully
  • Frequent use of forceful exertion during treatment

Nice To Haves

  • Previous medical experience in a physician clinic setting preferred
  • Orthopedic experience is a plus
