About The Position

Brook Lane - LPN - Full Time - Dayshift 72 hrs. Biweekly - 7am - 730pm Brook Lane is a 64-bed behavioral health facility and home to the second-largest psychiatric hospital in the state. We provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults in a safe, therapeutic environment. We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Brook Lane team. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and the department's Clinical Manager, the LPN delivers high-quality, patient-centered care using the nursing process, sound clinical judgment, and evidence-based practices. In this role, you will support individuals with diverse behavioral health needs while upholding ethical standards and collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary care team to promote healing and recovery.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and commitment to high-quality nursing care.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Graduate of an approved LPN program.
  • Current LPN license to practice in the State of Maryland.
  • Current BLS (CPR) certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience in a relevant specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting physicians and nurse practitioners with patient flow and care coordination
  • Obtaining and documenting vital signs
  • Administering medications, injections, and treatments as ordered
  • Providing patient education and support
  • Managing patient calls, prescription preauthorization's, and clinical forms
  • Collecting, processing, and reviewing lab samples and results for providers
  • Assisting physicians and nurse practitioners with patient flow and care coordination
