About The Position

Meadow View Nursing Center provides a full range of services in our highly regarded program of nursing and rehabilitation and nursing-centered care. We are currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses for full time and part time shifts… FT 36 hrs/wk, 7a-7p or 7p-7a (3 shifts a week) PT 24 hrs/wk, 7a-7p PT 7p-1:30a (optional 3-6 days a wk) This is an opportunity to work with a great team of dedicated individuals. Requirements

  • Compassionate working with geriatric patients
  • Current and valid Practical Nurse License in the state of employment.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills in a healthcare environment.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing practices, patient care standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Basic proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and documentation systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting

Responsibilities

  • Observes residents, charting and reporting changes in residents’ conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment, and taking any necessary action in accordance with the Facility’s policies and procedures.
  • Administers prescribed medications, treatments, and therapy under the supervision of licensed staff and cites times and amounts in residents’ records.
  • Makes resident rounds, checking and observing care rendered by staff, and promptly answers residents’ calls regardless of assignment.
  • Supervises Nursing Assistants and provides them with orientation, training, and ongoing guidance and support.
  • Provides basic resident care and treatments, such as taking temperatures or blood pressures, dressing wounds, treating bedsores, performing catheterizations, measuring and recording vital signs, helping residents to eat, drink, toilet, stand or walk, and assisting them in maintaining personal hygiene and bathing.
