LPN PER DIEM DAY SHIFT / MULTISPECIALTY CLINIC / FOXBORO MA (Please note: RNs will not be considered, we are seeking LPNs only.) Please apply and learn more about the role and the team! Under the supervision of a Nurse Manager or licensed clinical leader and in collaboration with other team members, provides direct and indirect patient care in accordance with the scope of practice.

Requirements

  • Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma
  • Licensed Practical Nurse required.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse in Massachusetts required.
  • Basic Life Support [BLS Certification].
  • Medical experience 0-1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Interviews patients about current problems, medications, and allergies and reviews medical records for pertinent previous and current information.
  • Measure and record patients' vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, or respiration.
  • Provide basic patient care or treatments, such as dressing wounds, treating bedsores, giving enemas or douches, rubbing with alcohol, massaging, performing catheterizations, routine immunizations, and/or nebulizer treatments and visual acuity tests.
  • Participates in patient treatment regimen, including administering medications (under the supervision of a physician and registered nurse).
  • Performs variety of office responsibilities: answers phones and takes messages and performs triage within scope of licensed practical nursing practice in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Collect samples, such as blood, urine, or sputum from patients, and perform routine laboratory tests on samples.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, tests, or treatments and explain procedures.
  • Help patients with bathing, dressing, maintaining personal hygiene, moving in bed, or standing and walking.
