About The Position

What You'll Do: Under supervision of the RN, assist to implement patients’ care plan  Maintain and communicate observations of patients’ status (i.e. physical and psychosocial)  Instruct patient and family and administer medications as ordered by physician (included count and dispose meds)  Document appropriately and in a timely manner in EMR  Perform skilled care and treatments as ordered by physician, including but not limited to: catheter insertion, irrigation, colostomy care, trach care, NG tube feedings  Provide family/caregiver with education regarding patient’s care/treatment  Postmortem care  Provide personal care and ADL (bath, hair washing, shave, meal preparation)  Obtain vital signs  Maintain safe/clean environment  Make appropriate patient visits other than assigned case as needed  Provide personal care and ADL’s when appropriate  Accept other assignments as deemed appropriate

Requirements

  • Diploma from accredited Practical Nurse Program
  • Current license as an LPN in the state of New Jersey
  • One year experience in medical/surgical nursing
  • Ability to perform appropriate nursing care
  • Strong communication skills and ability to serve patients/families with diverse needs
  • Ability to organize work to ensure productivity while maintaining quality
  • Ability to document in EMR
