Performs and/or delegates patient treatments as ordered by Provider and participates in education plan for patient/family. We are offering a $7,500.00 sign-on bonus. Requirements
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Current Massachusetts licensure required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Knowledge of basic nursing procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills are required to gather information from individuals, build relationships that support collaborative work within the department and across the organization and provide exceptional service to patients.
Responsibilities
- Assesses and obtain a patients basic health status, records, and related data according to standard procedure and needs of patient and their families.
- Administers medications, performs treatment as ordered, and operates equipment according to policy and procedure.
- Performs venipuncture using aseptic technique, 12 lead EKGs, and administers vaccinations.
- Participates in implementation and evaluation of care plan including long and short-term goals, nursing actions, and teaching.
- Documents patient care according to standard procedure. Records and reports observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patient condition to Provider and/or RN and assists in analyzing and interpreting patient data.
