About The Position

Otterbein has an employment opportunity for a nurse to serve as our Wellness Services Coordinator. This Nurse is responsible for providing high quality clinical care to the residents of our community, as well as scheduling and overseeing personal care services provided to our Independent Living Residents. As a member of the team, your commitment to advancing the health and wellness of the residents we serve is essential. By providing high quality service in a cheerful, timely manner, you make a positive difference in the lives of those we serve. The schedule for this important role consists of full-time day shift hours and rotating on-call schedule. Full time

Requirements

  • Education: Graduate of approved nursing program
  • Licensure/Certification: Current Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Experience: 6 - 12 months of direct care nursing practice

Responsibilities

  • Promotes and encourages Wellness Services to residents on campus and community members off campus
  • Provides supervision to nurse aides providing Wellness Services
  • Communicates a sense of caring, concern and dignity for residents
  • Recognizes the autonomy and dignity of all residents
  • Understands how to place decision-making in the hands of residents
  • Focuses on providing high quality service
  • Demonstrates excellent literacy and writing, documentation, communications and interpersonal abilities
  • Makes prompt and accurate judgments with regard to resident care and emergencies
  • Works and communicates effectively within a team environment
