LPN Staff Development Coordinator

Bear Canyon Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Staff Development Coordinator. Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
- Must be able to work flexible hours to meet with employees working evening and night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Function as a practitioner, consultant, educator, and facilitator for all nursing staff focusing on Nurse Orientation, Nurse Education, Competencies Evaluation and Maintenance (except for RNs), Infection Control (including Employee Health), and Clinical PCC implementation.
- Identify nursing staff learning needs and implement programs to address and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Support new hire orientation by providing safety training for all employees and department-specific orientation for nursing staff.
- Provide oversight of the nursing orientation and mentoring program for all licensed nursing staff and Certified Nursing Assistants.
- Develop an annual nursing education calendar to include State/Federal mandatory in-services.
- Assist in evaluation of performance of new nursing personnel and perform annual competency testing and evaluation of all nursing staff.
- Oversee the nursing center's Infection Control and Employee Health programs.
