About The Position

IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST BE AN LPN OR MA Essential Functions Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage. Administers medication including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physician as required by specialty. Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction. Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate. Adheres to the Clinical Services policies and procedures when documenting information in patient's medical record. Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician's office. Work Environment & Physical Demands Position requires a great deal of walking, standing, moving and manipulating equipment, as well as lifting and moving objects, equipment and supplies. It is reasonable to anticipate lifting 20-25 pounds in any given day. Lifting up to 30 pounds may occasionally be required, depending on the specific style or type of care provided and must be able to push/pull a patient sitting in a wheelchair. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about the inside from the Care Team station to the exam rooms to interact with patients and stock supplies. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as nebulizer, fax machine, copier and computer printer. Able administer intradermal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular injections. The person in this position frequently communicates with Clinic staff, such as providers, patients, call center representatives, receptionists, Patient Financial Services, Managed Care, specialty pharmacies, etc . Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. May be exposed to live vaccines, blood-borne pathogens, and bio-hazardous materials. Requirements

  • LPN SPECIALIST REQUIREMENTS
  • Required Education and Experience
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing and hold an active Florida state license.
  • CPR certification within 3 months of employment
  • MA SPECIALIST REQUIREMENTS
  • Required Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing and hold an active Florida state license.
  • CPR certification.
  • ACLS & PALS required within first 90 days of employment.
  • IV certification required within 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Education and Experience
  • Preferred two years experience in healthcare setting.
  • Preferred Education and Experience: Preferred two years experience in ER, critical care, urgent care, or Hospital setting.
