About The Position

Adelphi is seeking a licensed practical nurse to provide nursing services for a school in St. Lucie, Florida.
The ideal candidate will work closely with the school administration to provide services to students for the exceptional student department, in accordance with established guidelines and standards of practice.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Licensed Practical Nurse, current Florida license.
• Experience in community health and/or school health programs preferred.
• Ability to perform the functions of the position.

Responsibilities

• Monitor student health conditions and perform appropriate healthcare procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including specialized medical supports as required.
• Maintain effective communication with medical professionals, community agencies, school personnel, and families to ensure continuity of care between home and school.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student health records and regularly review medication status, reporting discrepancies to the supervising RN.
• Establish cooperative working relationships with school staff and provide health-related support during school activities, including transportation assistance when directed.
• Complete required documentation, including Medicaid billing forms for eligible students, in accordance with district and regulatory standards.
• Perform all assigned duties efficiently, accurately, and with a high standard of quality, while fulfilling additional responsibilities as directed by supervisory staff.
• Any other duties as assigned.
